Kaipaki have completely dismantled neighbouring club Cambridge, beating them by an emphatic 10 wickets. Cambridge decided to bat first and were in immediate trouble losing both openers cheaply. There was a little resistance from Keith Vincent and Vern Woodhams but after they were dismissed Cambridge capitulated to be all out for 126.
Kaipaki bowled well and it was Greg Patterson that was the chief destroyer, picking up 6 for 39 in his 11 overs. He was well supported in the field by his team mates.
Kaipaki made easy work of the 126 required and openers Corey Hyde and Thomas Benn making sure that Kaipaki were not to lose a wicket in their chase. Kaipaki were never challenged by the Cambridge attack and they cruised to victory with 51 overs still remaining in the game.
