The Kaipaki population is expected to be out in force to ensure the nations capital 'Kaipaki Oval' is in pristine condition heading into a bumper season.
With an exciting cricket season looming, Kaipaki members are rolling up their sleeves this Sunday from 9am - 12pm and giving Kaipaki Oval some tender loving care. The redevelopment of Kaipaki Oval in 2010 has been instrumental in rebuilding Kaipaki Cricket and it is important that the Kaipaki community look after its greatest asset by giving the 'Nation's Capital' the attention it deserves. It will also act as a prime opportunity to ignite the famous Kaipaki culture that is built around good old fashion banter and hard work.
This season, Kaipaki will continue to field 4 Saturday teams that play in local club competitions. Kaipaki has an exciting 'Kindred' match schedule lined up with games already confirmed against ND Maori's, NZ Croatia, UoW Vice Chancellors XI, Seddon CC, Waikato Valley Seniors, Clifton CC, Wanderers CC, Northern Districts Emerging Players XI, Cobham CC and the West Indies. Due to a pay dispute between the Australian Players Association and Cricket Australia and because of Kaipaki's club colours being green and gold, there was talk about Kaipaki hosting England in the upcoming Ashes Series. Fortunately for England, Australian Cricket has sorted out their differences....
It's Green, It's Gold, It's Great.
