Kaipaki Cricket, following on from a successful first season as a 'kindred' club, have confirmed an exciting season schedule with most games being played at Kaipaki Oval. Last season Kaipaki changed the direction of the club by pulling out their premier team of club competition and have become a 'kindred' club, similar to that of a Harlequins/Barbarians type set up that has been successful in rugby - but also other cricket clubs throughout NZ such as Clifton County CC in Hawkes Bay and Willows CC in Christchurch have led the way for this type of cricket club.
Kaipaki will put a big emphasis in the quality of the cricketing experience - seldom scene at club level in NZ in the modern era. Official umpires, scorers, caterers and general volunteers will all play their part in making sure the day is well organised and the experience is a good one for the cricketers that are participating in the fixture. Kaipaki urge that games are family and community spirited affairs.
3 Saturday teams will still compete in the Hamilton Cricket Association Senior C Saturday Competition during the summer also.
