Match Summary
Kaipaki continued their unbeaten run by dismantling Otorohanga by 9 wickets in their first home game for quite some time. In great batting conditions Otorohanga elected to bat but struggled from the outset as brothers Brenden and Adam Flegg knocked over the top order. Otorohanga’s English import F Hamilton provided the only resistance hitting a well measured 41.
The Flegg brothers who have been out of cricket for a couple of years both returned very good figures in their comeback game. They both bowled a good line and length at a reasonable pace to suffocate the Otorohanga batting line up.
Kaipaki’s batting were never challenged and they got the runs within 15 overs. Kieran Milburn got a much needed score under his belt by hitting 54 and Hugo Bothma who is becoming an unsung hero in this Kaipaki team again produced a well balanced 41 to make sure Kaipaki secured maximum points from this game.
