Kaipaki has instigated a relationship with Allendale Cricket Club, North of England and last season hosted two cricketers Charlie Parker and Tim Raglan for the New Zealand summer. In return Hugo Bothma and Kendall Nolan went to Allendale and are spending the summer over there playing in the weekend and doing some ground work plus other money earning roles during the week.
The Parker family were over in Scotland and England during July 2014 and visited Hugo and Kendall at Allendale Cricket Club. We had lunch with John and Tim Raglan at the local and visited the Allendale Cricket Club which I must say is a lovely cricket ground indeed. As the photos show the ground is quite a way down a sealed drive through some trees and into the ground area which is surrounded by trees and has a Pavilion on a bank and a lovely outfield and good looking wicket block.
Hugo and Kendall are loving the experience and were told to come back with some ideas as to how things could be done better at Kaipaki.
